Student Housing HVAC Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Student Housing HVAC Technician in our Student Housing department. This position performs preventative and repair maintenance on all student housing HVAC systems. The pay for this position is $25.00/hr.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspection and maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
  • Respond to daily work orders and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, replace and repair HVAC equipment when necessary.
  • Make recommendations and purchases necessary for system or equipment repairs.
  • Assist Student Housing Maintenance Technicians when additional support is needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 years of HVAC experience.
  • 1 year commercial HVAC experience that includes: including air handling, mini split systems, VAV boxes, VRF systems, DDC controls, fume hoods, and other commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of all refrigeration, heating or cooling equipment.
  • Able to perform recordkeeping in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, or manufacturer guidelines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
