Lakeside HR Group, a leading full-service HR consulting and recruiting firm, is currently seeking experienced General Manager for a home services company specializing in basement repair. The General Manager has responsibility for leading three locations in Minnesota (Litchfield, Moorhead, and Hastings), ensuring that each branch has a strong, positive culture, customers receive excellent service, and budgetary and EBITDA margin expectations are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both strategic and tactical leadership to branches in the assigned area
  • Ensure Branch Managers (Moorhead, Hastings) and Production Manager (Litchfield) are monitoring and proactively addressing customer satisfaction, staffing, employee engagement and retention, safety, budget, and branch EBITDA
  • Constantly monitor demand and capacity plans, adjusting resourcing and schedules to ensure goals are met and exceeded
  • Build a highly engaged and high performing team across Field Operations, Customer Service, Quality, Service, and Warehouse
  • Partner with the Sales Manager, Project Consultants, and Marketing teams to ensure effective lead generation, appointment setting, and close rates are being achieved to deliver budgeted revenue
  • Use data to monitor trends, report progress to senior management, provide coaching to teams, and make decisions to drive growth
  • Advocate for resources required to successfully run the business
  • Identify and develop talent within assigned branches and ensure there is a talent pipeline for leadership positions

Requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a multi-branch business with full P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in basement waterproofing and foundation repair
  • Bachelors degree in business or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated successful experience in developing a pipeline of high performing talent
  • Persuasive verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control measures
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
  • Ability to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, CRM
