Job Title: Community Support Individual (Bilingual)Job Code: HCP100/Behavioral Health Counselor 1Shift: (40 hours per week on average)Job Hours: Times May VaryBase Location: Norcross, GADivision/Department/Program: Alianza Therapeutica Latina (ATL) View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use. Under general supervision, counsel with emphasis on prevention and/or behavior modification. Works with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health. May help individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, suicide, stress management, problems with self-esteem, and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health. Duties &amp; Responsibilities: Maintain accurate mileage log and sign in sheet.The CSI will work directly with children, adolescents, caregivers, family members, school staff, community stakeholders and partners.In-home visitsIn-School visitsParticipate in parents center, school and community events.Maintain updated community resources for school and clients.Mental health presentations at school and community Meet with school counselors to update cases.Assesses and addresses school related issues: behavior, attendance, absenteeism, and barriers. Establishes and maintains relationships with other community providers in outreach services, school activities, community fairs.Links caregivers with community resources according to their needs (financial, job, trainings, Medicaid, food stamps)Conducts three college, training, or careers activities for client members per year.Provides strength-based interventions and developing skills that are directly associated to the clients individual target behavior and related back to their treatment plan. Writes timely progress notes (within 24 hours) that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan.Completes CANS assessments quarterly.Provides and bills for services; Billing targets are required.Maintain update authorizations for billing and notify counselors when authorizations are needed.Data program collection (academic, assistance, behavior, surveys, etc.) and provide information to support staff.Participate in weekly and monthly meetings.Requirements/Competencies:Fully Bilingual and Must be able to write, read, speak and comprehend English and Spanish.Bachelors Degree in related area (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or Early Childhood Intervention) Must have valid Georgia drivers license, car insurance, and Motor Vehicle Record Must be able to write, read, speak and comprehend English and Spanish.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens. Submissions to fingerprint criminal background checks whose results allow employment with the organization.Provider is responsible for maintaining such hours for license/certification and for submitting documentation of them to Human Resources monthly. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related area (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or Early Childhood Intervention) from an accredited college or university Experience with Care Logic or other EMR.Is comfortable and proficient with collaborative &amp; concurrent documentation.Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills.Some experience with children required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to be flexible and work in rapidly changing environment-DBHDD.Must pass criminal records fingerprint check.
