Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of quality IT solutions.
- Coach less experienced developers through best practices, tools, and consistent processes.
- Identify and lead DevOps journey focused on automation and increasing speed and while maintaining quality.
- Contributes to large scale salesforce implementations.
- Supports external deployment process.
- Troubleshoots and provides solutions to software development problems.
- Demonstrates the ability to foster business relationships and possesses good communication skills.
- Drives and builds line performance to deliver high-quality solutions by eliminating waste and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Continuously improves software delivery capabilities by collaborating and coaching within the line.
- Willing to poly-skill and learn other technologies as needed.
- 3+ years of Java development or Salesforce development experience with Apex and building Lighting components.
- 3+ years of experience working with SOAP and REST based services.

- Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
- Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.

- Manages project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Experience: Two or more years of analysis and technology experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately sophisticated business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
