The <b>Process Engineering Intern</b> will work closely with our Process Engineers in many areas of our manufacturing facility to assist in various assembly line design and improvement, support new manufacturing technologies being implemented, and improve inventory management.<br /> <b><b>Job Responsibilities</b></b><p>Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:<br /> <ul><li>Help design/improve assembly line layouts and flow</li> <li>Provide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis)</li> <li>Work with supply chain to improve inventory management</li> <li>Assist in implementing new equipment on assembly lines (including performing capability studies)</li> <li>Implement manufacturing controls on the assembly line</li> <li>Help design and implement process improvements on the assembly line</li> <li>Help improve ergonomics throughout the assembly process</li> <li>Work with manufacturing excellence group to support implementing newest manufacturing technology (AR/VR, simulation/digital twins, collaborative robotics, AGVs, advanced vision systems, advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation)</li> </ul> <b><b>Background &amp; Skills</b></b><br /> <ul><li>Major: Mechanical, Industrial, or Agricultural Engineering</li> <li>Level of Education: Sophomore/Junior preferred but would consider outstanding first year student</li> <li>Work availability: 20+ hours on the afternoon shift (3pm-11pm) M-F </li> <li>Commitment to work 8 months</li> <li>Able to interact with all levels of organization (Shop floor to Management)</li> <li>Familiar with basic hand tools</li> <li>CAD and simulation experience a plus</li> <li>PLC and C++ programming knowledge a plus</li> </ul> External Job Description External Job Description <b><b>Job Description</b></b><p><b>Woodbridge</b> has a great opportunity for an Industrial, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering student to gain real-world experience at our site in<b> Romulus, MI</b>.
