Technical Assistance Specialist - Home Child Care Network
BASE WAGE $22.78-$25.07 per hour based on education level.

DESCRIPTION
The Home Child Care Network, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area's leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
As a Home Child Care Network (HCCN) Technical Assistance Specialist on our team, you will work with licensed, home child care providers. This means you'll do things like:
  • Provide one-on-one consultation and technical assistance to home child care providers in subject matter areas including:
    o Grant development, budgeting, and technical writing.
    o Business Administration Scale (BAS) and Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale (FCCERS)
  • Identify, develop, and provide professional development and training to home child care providers on identified business needs.
  • Recruits and enrolls participating home child care providers; completes necessary paperwork.
  • Complete minimum of monthly check in meetings with home child care providers by phone, email, or face-to-face.
  • Provides ongoing communication, consultation, and expertise on grant opportunities available to Home Child Care Network providers using multiple methods such as meetings, one-on-one, newsletters, etc.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: Associate degree with at least five years' experience working in an early childhood education management-level position with experience in budgets, grants, and communication. Preferred: Required experience plus Bachelor's degree with at least six (6) hours of ECE classes.
