APRN Minimum Qualifications:

Master's DegreePlus Two (2) years nursing experiencewith Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License

Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
PA Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of Physician Assistant program with a PA license with State Medical Board.

Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
-
The APRN/PA will manage health issues for patients, independently or in collaboration with the designated physicians. Other duties may be assigned to expand and improve patient care.

The APRN/PA will be expected to provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, prescribe medical treatments, and manage health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician(s).

The APRN/PA will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of medical professional individuals.

The APRN/PA will extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The APRN/PA will supervise their assigned group with duties that include but are not limited to: conducting annual evaluations, approving final schedules, participating in disciplinary issues, and collaborating with service line physicians and nursing administration to best allocate APRN resources.

The APRN/PA will work autonomously, as well as, in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.

The APRN/PA will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.

Interacts with, and assists, the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.

Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary.

Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments
