The Speech Therapist, per physician orders and the administrative direction and supervision of Management, plans, develops, implements, and oversees treatment through a variety of therapeutic procedures and activities, as well as the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, with the intent of maximizing functional potential and safety for the patient.
Requirements
Master's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution. Licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Speech Language Pathologist. Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. 3 years' experience preferred, a minimum of 2 years' experience with geriatrics required. Additional experience with pediatrics is a plus, but not a requirement. Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Flexible schedule to meet the needs of participants. Ability to manage stress. Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to, lifting participants and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be a licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
