Clinical Nurse II - Colorectal Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Colorectal Surgery team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and direct and guide ancillary personnel as needed.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, and administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Ability to improve job performance through continuing education and knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
