JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience:               Previous clinical experience preferred

 

Education:                 Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training

 

Req. Cert. /               Current CNA certificate in the state where employed, if certified.

Registration:             CPR Certification

 

Essential                    Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking


Job Summary: Primary functions include greeting, rooming, and assisting patients. Obtain vitals, medication information, collect medical information from patients, and document in EMR. 


JOB DUTIES (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

 

  1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  2. Ability to function independently or as a member of a team.
  3. Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, and pulse.       
  4. Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment of vital signs and medication list to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping rooms full for consistent flow of patients.                                     
  5. Help maintain inventory of instruments, drugs, serums, and medical supplies, etc., and notify the Supervisor of ordering concerns to assure continued stock and supply.            
  6. Prioritizes assignments to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
  7. Provides assistance to patients.
  8. Keeps exam rooms clean s and sanitized between use.
  9. Maintains confidentiality of all patient data.
  10. Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment.
  11. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
  12. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required.
