The officer would be expected to perform routine security patrols, investigate reported and self-initiated complaints. Investigate and prepare reports on all incidents reported to security (criminal complaints, fire alarms, injuries, accidents and illnesses). Respond to emergency situations, assist with building evacuation and provide aid and assistance where needed. Assist with medical needs and call for/provide transportation to medical resources. Other routine duties include but are not limited to on-campus parking and traffic enforcement and control, enforce college regulations and lock and unlock campus buildings. The officer will also be available to operate all department vehicles which include campus shuttles and provide security escorts to students, faculty and staff upon request. - Required: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice
- Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no significant convictions.
- NYS Security License- All officers must possess a valid NYS Security Guard license. If you are not currently licensed as a NYS Security Guard, Fisher will take care of the expenses associated with obtaining your license.
