Procurement Manager

We’re looking for a self-starter with dynamic interests to join our team full-time as Procurement Manager. This person will report directly to and work alongside the studio’s Director of Operations. Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management • Source new vendors, interview, and determine potential candidates. • Source backup vendors for all existing vendors. • Work with the Design Team during the design process to source and identify vendors to partner with for new pieces and materials. • Create and establish strong relationships with vendors, including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts, and tender management. Set a gold standard for partnership and production. • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors based on pricing studies and margins. Management + Leadership • Create purchasing budgets for Studio Partners, Operations Director, and Finance team to approve. • Work with the Director of Operations to create quarterly and yearly projections for inventory and minimum/maximum stock levels, looking at past sales, open quotes, and market research. • Ensure Procurement Associates diligently manage external vendors and manufacturers to meet production timelines and business objectives. • Establish long-term goals with them for each vendor. • Alert the Director of Operations. when issues arise with existing vendors. • Delegate tasks to meet goals. • Guide and enable direct reports to manage day-to-day relationships with vendors and manufacturers. • Oversee purchasing and ensure they are in line with budgets and projections. • Oversee QC process with direct reports and assess issues as they arise, developing a plan of action and communicating to relevant stakeholders. • Updating Director of Operations and Finance Manager when there are pricing updates with as much notice as possible. • Work with the Director of Operations and studio partners to develop and establish long-term procurement goals. Have weekly check-ins to ensure we are on track to meeting those goals. • Manage time for Shipping/Receiving Coordinator and procurement team. Ensure they have clear priorities and communication to achieve on-time order fulfillment. • Liaison between sales and ops / production (rush orders, custom projects, management of delays). Studio / General • Responsible for addressing clutter and making room for incoming goods, maintaining product labeling of stock. • Work with the Shipping / Receiving Coordinator and Production team to maintain an organized workspace and warehouse. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications

• Outstanding organizational skills • 5+ Years in Procurement in a similar environment • Understanding of inventory management software/systems • People management skills and experience leading a team. • Extreme attention to detail • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative work environment • Experience and comfort with hand and power tools • Ability to learn new skills quickly in a fast paced environment • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 to 50 pounds multiple times a day • Ability to stand 90% of each work day while performing job duties and responsibilities • Friendly and personable :) • This is a full-time position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn • 40 hours/week. Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm • $85-105K annually, commensurate with experience How to Apply
