Assembly Tech

An assembler and Distribution team member is responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for products we manufacture and distribute. They check for defects, assemble products, monitor stock levels, and closely follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and hazards. Production duties vary based on the needs of the warehouse at that time. They would also assist with shipping procedures (boxing and skidding items for distribution and be coverage for the shipping and receiving area).Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 PM Pay: $19-$21 an hour Responsibilities:•Assembling various hardware kits, products and components•Receiving and stowing items properly and accurately into their associated bins (Being fork truck certified and how to use an android tablet a plus)•Assist the inventory manager with cycle counting as well being a partner on inventory in general. (point out possible issues or low stock of components etc.)•Pulls and prepares orders, packaging for shipment.•Complete all work orders accurately and in a timely manner.•Rotates product and safely moves product using a forklift (when needed).•Maintain a clean and safe working environment.•Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.•Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.Additional Tasks:•Delivery/picking up of various items on purchase orders (Driving of vans and/or flatbed truck experience a plus)•Provide assistance as well as coverage for the shipping and receiving clerk (Assist in the scheduling of trucks as well as shipping items out in our system (UPS)•Following safety policies and procedures set by the organization.RequirementsRequirements:Qualifications & SkillsEducation - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position Forklift experience is a plus.Experience with building materials a plus.Must be able to work overtime as needed.Ability to read and write and perform essential math functions.
