Job Title: Child Nutrition Program Worker Salary Schedule Department: Assigned School Days/Year: 184 Hours/Day: 7 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Supervises: None Reports: CNP Director/School Principal/CNP Manager
Job Goal:
To provide high quality, nutritious food service to BCS students, staff, and others within an assigned school kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works in an assigned school kitchen to efficiently prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established school kitchen procedures and consistent with Board policy, mandated nutritional and dietary requirements, and state and federal regulations.
• Prepares food according to the planned menu and follows recipes and/or instructions accurately to ensure proper nutritional content and cost effectiveness.
• Monitors cooking times and temperatures to ensure thorough heating as required for consumer safety.
• Operates food service equipment in a safe and skillful manner and reports any malfunctions, incidents, or maintenance issues as appropriate.
• Sets up food service lines for meal times and serves food in appropriate portions and quantities per individual in a cordial and professional manner.
• Maintains orderly, safe, and sanitary food preparation, service, and storage areas; cleans and sanitizes all food service equipment, tools, dishes, trays, cookware, utensils, serving vessels, etc. according to established regulations.
• Follows proper procedures related to stocking, storing, and disposing of USDA commodities, supplies, and other items.
• Participates in a variety of approved training sessions and activities to address professional learning needs to total at least 14 hours.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications (minimum education, licensure, skills, and / or experience) :

• Completion of the ninth grade
• Minimum of one (1) year of food service experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain ServSafe training certification
