SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Performs programmatic duties of a routine nature. A variety of activities may be required. Decision making is minimal.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 2.25 hours per week, Wednesdays 5:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 16 Years old or older
  • CPR training preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides on-going supervision of children according to program philosophy, program policies, and requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Plans weekly group activities for children based on their age.
  • Delivers the identified program that is responsible to the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of individual children, based on their age, ability, interests, and culture.
  • Provides age-appropriate guidance in interacting with children, using discipline techniques, which maintain the child’s dignity and self-esteem.
  • Develops and maintains supportive relationships with parents.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies and requirements.
  • Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job is to be performed on company physical work site.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
