Position: Eligibility Specialist Pay Range

- $16 - $18 depending on experience Hybrid position Hours

- 8 am to 5 pm; Monday - Friday Pay Rate:

Contracted Staff must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in at least one of the following areas: Social Security Administration, Health administration, case management, paralegal, application processing for County, State, or Federal programs and entities, as well as mortgage and insurance claims processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Screen and review assigned applications for federal financial or disability benefits for children or adults that are in custody of government social service agencies. Submit SSI or other Federal applications and documentation in accordance with deadlines and goals established by management staff and the Social Security Administration or Federal Programs. Abide by project assigned deadlines and maintain a detailed record of all activities, both pending and completed, and perform case management by following up on tasks related to the applications. Review all provided documentation and screening details to help provide accurate assessments of that customer's eligibility. Review applications denied by SSA and gather documentation to determine if a reconsideration appeal is appropriate. Minimum Requirements:

HS Diploma Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
