The Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a full time Professor of Practice position in Engineering (starting date as early as January 2024). A Ph.D. in Engineering or related area is preferred as well as significant industrial experience.
The successful candidate will take an active role in the continued development of engineering manufacturing at Clarkson as a result of a 32-million-dollar financial commitment from the Solinsky Engineering Leadership Challenge which represents the largest directed gift in the history of Clarkson University and will result in an 80-million-dollar investment in engineering. The academic year salary range for this position is: $95,000 to $120,000 depending on experience, with the possibility of supplementing this during the summer.
Clarkson's Coulter School of Engineering currently offers B.S., M.S. and PhD. degrees in several areas of engineering. Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering, and significantly increase Clarkson's engagement and partnership with industry.

Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications:

BS plus 10 years of industry experience or MS plus 5 years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. plus 10 years of industry experience and teaching experience
