Please check with your recruiter for eligibility requirements. </b></p><p></p><p>5 South provides 24 hour acute nursing care to neurosurgery, medical and ortho-spine patients who are acutely ill, injured, or have pre-existing disease process who are in the adolescent, adult, and geriatric stages of life. 5 South contains 19 beds (5 private, 5 semiprivate, and a 4 bed Neuro-Observation Room (NOR)). The purpose of the NOR is to provide frequent assessment, interventions, and evaluations of patients who are hemodynamically stable, however, require closer observation</p><p></p><p>Minimum Education: RN licensure in the State of Missouri</p><p></p><p>Job Specifications:</p><ul><li>Minimum of two years of nursing experience desired.</li><li>Satisfactory performance appraisals.</li><li>Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Demonstrates professionalism in working relationships and during delivery of care.</li><li>Possesses good problem solving abilities including follow up and reporting.</li><li>Remains calm and is able to handle highly stressful situations.</li><li>Possesses excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Is available for variable shifts.</li><li>Energetic and motivated.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p>Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.<p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities and Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
