Creative Plastics is a designer and manufacturer of award winning, quality displays for a variety of markets, including retailers in the Health & Beauty sector is seeking a highly motivated and creative director who will contribute to the design process of our company. Job Summary: The Creative Director will support all parts of the design process, from brainstorming concepts, to sketching, to creating photo-realistic renderings and for meetings, through final approval stages for all retail formats such as point of purchase displays, events, pop-up shops and freestanding retail stores. This person will provide creative and innovative options that take into consideration the merchandising objectives, communication needs and relevance for client’s needs. This person must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment to meet tight deadlines on a large number of projects. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Creates merchandising solutions for both retailers and brand marketers. Works projects from initial concept to final renderings, as well as updates existing displays with a focus on unique yet practical solutions to client's marketing objectives Assesses information provided by the customer and commercial team and translates it into creative design solutions, considering visual and structural integrity and cost-effective manufacturability and assembly. Obtains approval of concept by submitting ideas to the team for critique and approval Designs and produces visual communication in a variety of formats and materials, including presentations and material sample boards. Oversees the design of the finished product packaging, emphasizing marketability and cost efficiency. Researches and introduces prototypes using materials such as plastics and acrylics. Presents designs to clients for approval. Collaborates with staff from marketing, manufacturing, graphics, and shipping departments to optimize package design. Work closely with the new clients and our sales team to ensure implementation of the vision and direction for each project. Demonstrate the ability to take projects from conception to production. Work collaboratively with team to produce engaging design solutions for a wide range of clients, including the development of brochures, print, sample vehicles, displays and in-store marketing point of purchase materials. Develop original high-level visual design concepts and solutions for multiple, simultaneous projects. Develop, create, design, layout, and communicate concepts and mockups for customer approvals in a demanding environment. Quickness and accuracy are key in this position. Interface with various company divisions to ensure we are producing a cost-effective product while obtaining desired outcomes. Document all individual activities and provide periodic reporting as required by management. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget. Ability to develop innovative campaigns and motivate designers to develop innovative visuals and graphics. Mastery of graphic design software and photo editing software and brand development. Bachelor’s degree required in industrial design, fine arts, architecture, or interior design or equivalent experience. Experience working with 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Must have demonstrated skills in ideation, sketching, and photo-realistic renderings, etc. Preferred candidates have worked with/in or have knowledge in at least one of the following industries: consumer electronics, beauty, home improvement, temporary displays. Candidates should have a basic understanding of fabrication methods, including sheet metal, tubing, wood and plastics. Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software to develop point-of-sale displays for products. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Cosmetics/Beauty background is a must. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. Hires and trains graphic designers. Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of designers. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the manufacturing facility.

Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Push/Pull:

Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Reaching:

Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Walking:
