We can’t wait to have you join your second family!</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Job Requirements:</b></p> <ul> <li>FL RN License</li> <li>BLS and ACLS Certifications</li> <li>Minimum Two (2) years' experience in an acute care setting</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>About the Job:</b></p> <ul> <li>Under the direction of the Director, supervises and coordinates the work activities of the professional and technical staff</li> <li>Organizes and coordinates the activities of the department through the appropriate assignment of responsibilities, delegation of authority, and overall direction of workflow processes. Provides direction and motivation to assigned personnel</li> <li>Monitors and evaluates the activities of the department personnel; provides management coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training and retraining, as necessary, to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Initiates progressive disciplinary action as needed</li> <li>Monitors and evaluates systems and processes. Initiates changes and improvements, as necessary, to ensure operational efficiency. Evaluates outcome of changes and expected improvements</li> <li>Monitors the quality of patient care to ensure the safety of the patient is maintained during all procedures and safety standards are adhered to</li> <li>Ensures quality assurance standards are followed. Ensures quality control tests are performed as required. Ensures department compliance to the Joint Commission and/or all applicable governmental agencies</li> <li>Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Reports equipment problems to department manager or service personnel as required</li> <li>Communicates with administration, medical staff, employees, and other departments to coordinate efforts, meet special needs, and address problems or concerns. Attends department meetings</li> <li>Establishes quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives in conjunction with upper management</li> <li>If functioning with telemetry patients, demonstrates technical competency in gathering and communicating objective data such as EKG interpretation, advanced assessment and medication administration</li> <li>Conducts nurse leader rounds daily and physician rounds as needed</li> <li>Assures assignments are appropriate to patient acuity and skill level of nursing personnel</li> <li>Acts as a clinical resource person to staff to complete tasks assigned timely</li> <li>Functions as a direct care giver with patient assignment as needed</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to function as a department director in their absence</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to function as a house supervisor as needed</li> <li>Day and Night Shifts available 3x12's</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>INDNUR</p><p></p>
