Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing perioperative patient care and acting as a scrub assistant during operative and/or invasive procedures. The role involves working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and serving as a resource for other staff.

Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist, Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), Nights

• Full-time position: 9:00 pm - 7:00 am, Tuesday-Friday or 7:00 pm-7:00 am Wednesday-Friday
• Required certifications: CST and BLS
• Minimum of 2 years of CV experience required (Adult or Pediatric)
• This position is located at Children's Memorial Hospital in the Texas Medical Center

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
• Licenses/Certifications : Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
  • New Grad
  • Surg Tech I = 1 year
  • Surg Tech II = 2-4 years
  • Surg Tech III = 5+ years
