Job Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: 32 hours per week day shift RN position, 7:00am - 3:30pm. Required every other weekend

Job Summary: The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include performing assessments, developing nursing plans of care, participating in treatment team conferences, conducting group therapy sessions, and evaluating patient responses to interventions.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
• Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred
• Evidence of leadership ability. Must be able to manage out of control patients using the methods outlined in the MOAB training
