We are seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor to join our team!
As our 2nd Shift Supervisor, you'll be a driving force behind our shop's operational excellence. Key Experience Needed: Second Shift Production Supervisor
  • You have a solid background with 3 years of supervisory experience at a production facility.
  • Leading teams is your strength, and safety is your priority.
  • Collaborative, communicative, and a problem-solver at heart.
  • High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field, a plus.
Position Responsibilities: Second Shift Production Supervisor
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direct supervision to the shop floor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, production targets, and quality standards.
  • Production Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, equipment, and personnel.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer specifications and ASME code standards.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and work with leads to provide on-the-job training to team members, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Performance Management: Set performance expectations, conduct annual performance reviews, and provide feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, enforce safety guidelines, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure regular maintenance, repair, and calibration of machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other shifts, departments, and management to address operational challenges, share best practices, and ensure seamless workflow.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, team member attendance, performance metrics, and any incidents or accidents, generating regular reports as required.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements in metal fabrication techniques, and relevant regulations, incorporating new knowledge into work processes and sharing with the team.
