RN-Clinical Educator-Staff Education

Responsible for developing, conducting and evaluating in-service programs, orientation and continuing education for nurses, and other staff in all clinical areas throughout the hospital.

Develops educational policies and procedures. Serves as a resource person to staff and management. Participates in performance improvement activities; serves on shared governance committees as needed. Required LicensesRegistered NurseCurrent Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.Minimum Education•Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferredMinimum Work ExperienceCurrent clinical experience.A minimum of three years experience as a Clinical Educator preferredRequired SkillsCertifications:Required certifications must be obtained through a LCRH approved program:• Certification as an instructor with the American Heart Association in BLS, PALS, and/or ACLS preferred.Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
