The Maintenance Technician will set-up, adjust and maintain production equipment in an FDA and cGMP regulated environment. Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, troubleshoot and repair packaging and production equipment such as Cartoners, Shrink Wrappers, Labelers, etc.
- Repair mechanical functions using specialty tools.
- Work with Production to coordinate timely line change-over.
- Complete paperwork required for line set-up: lock-out/tag-out, start-up inspection, check maintenance documentation, etc.
- Identify possible mechanical problems and report them to the Maintenance Lead.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required by company PM program.
- Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
- Able to read technical documents.
- Familiarity with Pharma equipment such as fillers, cappers and Thermoformer Blister machines is a plus.
- Familiarity with Vision Systems is preferred but not required.
- Basic Industrial Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting is required including voltages such as 480/240/120 and 24.
- Ability to read, write and fluently speak in English required.
