Purpose of this position:
The primary purpose of the dietary aide position is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Requirements:
• Must be able to read menus and understand food items allowed on specific diets.
• Must be willing to adapt to change.
• Must be able to push carts and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate with kitchen staff and other staff in different departments.
• Must be able to move intermittently thought entire shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and in a timely manner.
• Assist in serving meals within the dining room area.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distributing.
• Assist in properly washing dishes using the dishwasher.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clan, dry and free of hazards, supplies, etc.
• Deliver food carts and trays to the appropriate areas.
• Return clean dishes and equipment to the appropriate storage areas.
• Stock and maintain food storage areas.
