Position Summary:
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist is a key member of an interdisciplinary clinical team, providing oversight and supervision while delivering clinical care and treatment planning. They coordinate and direct clinical activities, staff training, and ensure quality assurance. Assessing psychosocial needs, engaging clients, and providing rehabilitative services are central to their role. The Specialist contributes to program decision-making and regularly provides clinical supervision. Availability for emergencies after hours is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Master's degree in relevant fields with specific coursework in therapeutic counseling skills.
- Three years of experience in related fields, including two years of supervisory experience.
- Either Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist or licensed mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC).
General Requirements, Skills, & Abilities:
- Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including covering emergencies as needed.
- Upholds ethical standards and maintains professional relationships.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Completion of required CPR/First Aid training and program-specific training.
