Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and transform the Case Management Department by developing strategies and programs that enhance patient care and optimize resource utilization.
  • Spearhead the implementation and oversight of care facilitation, utilization management, discharge planning, and case management initiatives.
  • Mentor, guide, and supervise a talented team of Case Managers and Social Workers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through meticulous documentation and quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders like the Chief Financial Officer and Quality Department to drive quality improvement and data analysis initiatives.
  • Conduct daily Multidisciplinary Rounds to facilitate cohesive patient care planning and address complex care needs effectively.
  • Engage actively in committees such as the Utilization Review Committee and Revenue Recycle Committee to promote financial and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the recruitment, performance evaluation, and development of department staff to ensure a high-performing team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven leadership skills in healthcare settings, particularly in case management or related fields.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of improving patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff and manage teams.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and a deep understanding of healthcare laws and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; must be a graduate of a registered nursing program.
  • Valid RN license in the state of Iowa or a multistate license applicable in Iowa.
  • Certifications in Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse.
