Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.
The individual is a gentleman who is friendly and enjoys music and television . He is looking for a caregiver who can support him with meal preparation and engaging in activities at home and in the community.
This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour .
Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:20a-1:20p
You will be a good fit for this position if you :
- Have a positive outlook and contagious energy
- Demonstrate patience and compassion
Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:
- Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
- Meal/snack preparation
- Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment
- Performing light housekeeping tasks
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
- Complete daily progress notes
- No personal care required
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Have a Valid Drivers license
- Are 18 years of age or older
