Shift Details: 40 hours per week night shift RN, 11:00pm-7:30am. Required to work every other weekend
St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, we invite you to join our compassionate team.
- Conducts initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments
- Participates in treatment team conferences and facilitates group therapy sessions
- Develops comprehensive nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and families
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed
- Delegates care tasks to nursing personnel and ensures delivery of individualized care
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to interact with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred
- Evidence of leadership ability and successful management of out-of-control patients
