Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™<p><b> Main Objective: </b> <p> Main duties are to be able to execute and schedule all calibration activities. Also issues gage equipment as required and maintain the gage records in the calibration management system.<p><b> Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </b> <br /><ul><li> Follow established laboratory safety and operational procedures. </li><li> Perform all responsibilities of Calibration Specialist I and II. </li><li> Conduct or organize calibration activities for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment according to established procedures to maintain calibration status. <ol><li> Schedule and coordinate calibrations among various departments. </li><li> Calibrate - Enter data into calibration management system. </li><li> Preventive maintenance and repair - Perform repair and preventive maintenance on gages/equipment as needed. </li></ol></li><li> Track and maintain all equipment status. </li><li> Calibrate and maintain vision systems (Micro-Vu, Optical Comparators, Keyence, etc) as needed. </li><li> Initiate NCR for all out of tolerance equipment as required. </li><li> Review gage design and approve drawings. </li><li> Write and maintain calibration procedures as required. </li><li> Ensure all calibration is in accordance with approved Procedures. </li><li> Represent the Calibration function during regulatory inspections and audits. </li></ul><br /> <b> Education and Experience: </b> <br /><ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li> 7 years experience in a manufacturing setting required </li><li> 6 years experience with calibration of inspection/hand gages required. </li><li> 4 years minimum experience with calibration of various dimensional/physical/electronic equipment required. </li><li> 1 year minimum experience with calibration of vision systems (Micro-Vu, Optical Comparators, Keyence, etc) required. </li><li> 4 years experience with Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T) required. </li><li> 1 year minimum experience using SAP calibration software. </li></ul><br /> <b> Incidental Duties: </b> <p> The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints. Good understanding of Calibration principles, ASQ certified calibration technician preferred PMEL or equivalent training preferred.<p><b> Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: </b> <p> Experience with SAP or equivalent Calibration Software, Laser Micrometer and Quality Control Inspection Equipment preferred.<p><b> Reasoning Ability: </b> <p> Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.<p><b> Mathematical Skills </b> <p> Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.<p><b> Language and Communication Skills: </b> <p> Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
