<strong>Role: Buyer</strong><br><br><strong>Location: Romulus - On-Site</strong><br><br><strong>Compensation: 50,000 - 80,000</strong><br><br>A tier 1 supplier of is looking to add a Buyer to their supply chain team, they specialize in fuel systems.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Source and procure raw materials, components, and services necessary for production in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.</li><li>Evaluate and select suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, delivery reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize supply chain efficiency.</li><li>Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular performance reviews and metrics analysis.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.</li><li>Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as material shortages, price fluctuations, and supplier disruptions.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to inform purchasing decisions and maintain competitive advantage.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier communications using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.</li><li>Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.</li></ul><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive industry.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.</li><li>Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><br>Job Type: Full-time<br><br>Benefits:<br><br><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul><br>Schedule:<br><br><ul><li>8 hour shift</li></ul><br>Ability to Relocate:<br><br><ul><li>Romulus, MI: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul><br>Work Location: In person
