Pharmacy Technician Instructor

The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of Westchester Community College, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Pharmacy Technician Instructor. The initial appointment will be during the Spring 2023 semester. A successful applicant will teach a range of courses for the Pharmacy Technician program, providing classroom instruction that prepares students for employment in hospitals or retail pharmacies. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the field, sensitivity to a diverse population, and excellent communication skills. This position may require teaching during both daytime and evening hours.

  • Required qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of teaching or training experience; a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited pharmacy program and a current NYS Pharmacist license with at least 1 year of pharmacy work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in life/health science, certification as a pharmacy technician, and a minimum of 4 years' experience; experience teaching remotely and using an LMS.
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations; organizational and detail-oriented skills.
