About the Position: Pediatric Speech Therapists provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language issues, collaborating with parents and school support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic assessments for students needing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans aligned with educational standards
- Participate in meetings and provide consultation to teachers and staff
- Complete required supervisory activities for candidates and students
Requirements:
- Master's degree in communication disorders or speech pathology
- Valid state license and credential in speech pathology
- Ability to travel to multiple school locations as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
Employment Expectations:
- Employee must be a resident of the City of Chicago or willing to become a resident within six months of employment
- Completion of CPS onboarding requirements, including background checks
