About the Position: Pediatric Speech Therapists provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language issues, collaborating with parents and school support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic assessments for students needing evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans aligned with educational standards
  • Participate in meetings and provide consultation to teachers and staff
  • Complete required supervisory activities for candidates and students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in communication disorders or speech pathology
  • Valid state license and credential in speech pathology
  • Ability to travel to multiple school locations as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally

Employment Expectations:

  • Employee must be a resident of the City of Chicago or willing to become a resident within six months of employment
  • Completion of CPS onboarding requirements, including background checks
