You will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to obtain accurate images for diagnosis and treatment planning. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, patient care skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
What you will do:
- Perform a wide range of MRI procedures using advanced imaging equipment to capture detailed images of patients' anatomy and pathology.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patients are comfortable and relaxed during examinations.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize risks associated with MRI procedures, including proper screening for contraindications, administering contrast agents when necessary, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure optimal performance of MRI machines.
- Monitor and optimize image quality by adjusting imaging parameters and ensuring accurate positioning of patients.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of patient information, procedure details, and image data in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, provide input on patient care plans, and assist in clinical decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in MRI technology, safety protocols, and clinical best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Associates Degree Radiologic Technology Required
- 2 Years experience as an MRI Technologist Level 1 or equivalent required.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
- ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Preferred
- ARRT - Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
- Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine - State of Illinois IEMA (IEMA) Required
