Nawrocki Smith LLP is currently looking for a part-time or full-time detail oriented professional as a bookkeeper for our Emerging Business department servicing our clients located predominantly in Long Island.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain financial information from clients and banking institutions
• Download financial information and import into QuickBooks and QuickBooks online
• Data entry of financial information into QuickBooks and QuickBooks online
• Record invoices, payments and track accounts receivable using QuickBooks
• Record bills, print checks and track accounts payable using QuickBooks
• Properly records and check accuracy of information provided
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Reclassify incorrectly posted information
• Perform other data entry and administrative duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• Fundamental knowledge of cash basis and accrual basis of accounting
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
