BI Admin, Primarily Business Objects
The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ADMIN is responsible for first tier of support for user requests for user administration, enhancement promotions to production, production incidents and maintenance related to Business Intelligence solutions deployed under enterprise BI tools at SHC. The primary responsibility will be administering SAP BusinessObjects and managing the ServiceNow ticket queue. Secondarily QlikView.

This role will remain 100% remote.
Responsibilities
  • Administer BI processes, manage operations logging and alerting, scheduling and job control, promote approved modifications to production, etc.
  • Monitor production solutions and, where necessary, perform required manual procedures.
  • Perform user and tool administration within BI tools as requested and approved
  • Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions
  • Manage work queue of incidents and user requests within Service Management application
  • Understands and applies HIPAA standards and regulations to all areas of work
Education Qualifications
BS/BA in information or business-related field from an accredited college or university
Experience Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience with development of BI solutions and/or administration of BI tools and/or related training/education.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience delivering Reporting & Analytics solutions that meet user requirements with minimal on-going maintenance and a low volume of production incidents (production failures, help desk calls, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of, production incidents and established countermeasures to improve supported applications.
  • Two (2)+ years of experience with SQL in an Oracle and/or SQL Server (preferred) environment.
  • Ability to work with general direction provided by a superior, and make recommendations to supervisors on best path forward. Provides regular updates to supervisor on pending tasks, pain points, and potential roadblocks.
  • Proficient with, and contributes to, best practices and common processes for developing solutions with, and/or administering, multiple standard SHC tools, including: SAP BusinessObjects: BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE), WebIntelligence, Crystal Reports
  • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Management Studio; Oracle RDMS, Oracle Client
  • Remedy/ITSM Service Management (Help Desk/Support) application

Other: As the role requires collaboration with users/team members, standard work hours are between 7am-5pm, M-F Pacific Time and may require work outside of these normal business hours to deal with production incidents, scheduled upgrades, etc. The role also requires easy access via phone, online collaboration tools (i.e., MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx) and participation in daily team huddles. SHC is currently practicing remote work subject to the terms of a Remote Worker Agreement. Travel is not anticipated to be required by this resource during this timeframe but may be required subject to the needs of the position and changes to SHC Remote Work policies.
