Precipart, located in Farmingdale, New York, is looking to hire an Automation Engineer to be at the forefront of driving automation initiatives, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. As an Automation Engineer, you will oversee and manage all aspects of automation projects, including planning, budgeting, and logistics and provides feedback to all team members and facilitate communication throughout the project’s lifecycle. We are looking for a skilled engineer with a passion for innovation and a strong background in automation systems to help us maintain our reputation for excellence in delivering custom-engineered solutions to our clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Design, test and optimize automated systems in various manufacturing and logistics environments. Develop and implement automated systems and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity. Work alongside other departments to create automation plans that align with business goals. Lead the implementation of automation in revising existing technology so it requires less human interaction. Monitor the performance of the implemented automation. Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects with cross functional stakeholders. Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. Cooperate and communicate effectively with other project participants to provide assistance and technical support. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Utilize available technical resources to determine most efficient methods for increased profitability. Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
