The Buyer/Planner providing detailed Machinery Planning and Buying activities under the direction of the Manufacturing Machinery Manager. The Buyer/Planner is a cross-functional position that is primarily responsible for the day to day work order planning and purchasing activities. In this role you will.

* Plan Machinery assembly and subassembly work orders utilizing Syteline ERP.

* Plan and manages production schedules in conjunction with Manufacturing Manager to ensure 95% of-time delivery of all customer orders.

* Implement inventory planning strategies that meet service level requirements.

* Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. Notifies managers of capacity issues and/or material shortages

* Interface with all value chain functions such as manufacturing, purchasing, and customer service on material status, production planning and scheduling issues.

* Analyze completed job report to control inventories and labor transactions.

* Review material reports daily and take appropriate action.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives

* Participate in cycle count activities.

* Place purchase orders for materials and confirm delivery with suppliers, expedite material as needed

* Coordinate schedules with outside suppliers and ensure on-time delivery of components.

* Monitor Kanban & material reporting system, resize to current demand patterns

* Support in the Selection, management and development of material supply base

* Drive cost savings and OTD in the supply chain

* Continuous improvement projects which reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase overall customer satisfaction.

* Other duties as assigned.

* High School Diploma

* Some College or BS/BA Preferred

* Two years of experience in a fast paced, manufacturing environment

* Ability to read, write and comprehend English

* Self-directed, works well in team environment

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities

* Willingness to learn and perform other duties and required by departmental needs

In addition to growth opportunities, as a ProMach employee, you receive more than just a paycheck. Starting salary range for this role is $50,000-$70,000 per year depending on experience. This estimate represents the typical salary range you could earn in this position and is just one component of ProMachs total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
