The college's Latinx enrollment has doubled in six years to 29%, making CMC a federally-designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). CMC courses are highly personal and many are experiential by design, each with a maximum registration of 25 students.</p> <p>Colorado Mountain College campuses are located in Aspen, Carbondale, Breckenridge, Dillon, Steamboat Springs, downtown Glenwood Springs, Glenwood Springs-Spring Valley, Leadville, Rifle, the Vail Valley, and Salida. Of these locations, three are "traditional" residential-Spring Valley, Leadville, and Steamboat Springs; students in Breckenridge, Edwards, Spring Valley and Steamboat Spring) have access to college-owned apartment-style housing. CMC campuses are close-knit communities, on average serving between 1,000 - 2,000 students.</p> <p>The majority of the college's financial support comes from local property taxes, not tuition or state revenues. Consequently, CMC is uniquely positioned to be entrepreneurial, nimble, mission-focused, and responsive to community and workforce needs. This position researches technology trends and proposes technological enhancements and improvements for the college and its various spaces and classrooms. This position works directly with vendors and contractors for large project installation and troubleshooting tasks and oversees smaller in-house installation projects. This position provides direct and indirect training to students and staff in the use of the college's audio/visual technology, instructional technology, and remote learning technology.</p> <p>Hiring range = $71,208.96 - $79,121.07 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. Examples include a High School Diploma/GED and six years of commercial audio/visual support, project management, or related work experience; Associate's Degree from an accredited institution and four years of related work experience; Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in computer science or related IT field with two years of related work experience; or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position.</p> <p>Preferred experience/certifications include: Avixa Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification, Commercial Audio Technician (CAT) certification, Crestron Technical Institute (CTI) Technician certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Audio Engineer, Certified Video Engineer</p> <p>Special skills or abilities related to the position: Advanced knowledge of commercial audio/visual technology. Familiarity with IT networking protocols, concepts, and equipment. Proven ability to work with end users and vendors. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Strong Project Management experience and strong interpersonal skills.
