Under minimal supervision, prepare commercial loan documents from approval memos. Perform a variety of complex clerical, analytical and customer service functions relating to commercial loan documentation. Perform a comprehensive review and provide final approval of pre-closing commercial loan documents within established productivity standards ensuring documents are accurate, complete and appropriate for the loan structure and borrowing entities. Ensure documents comply with credit approval, established corporate polices, Federal Regulations and State Laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare all commercial loan and collateral documentation for new and renewed loans involving simple to complex loan structures.

Prepare loan documentation within the guidelines of the loan approval and other established credit and lending policies and applicable Federal regulations and State laws.

Ensure documents are accurate, complete and appropriate for the loan structure and borrowing entities.

Create Beneficial Owner Questionnaire, pull OFAC and Geo-Coding.

Enter all required loan information

(borrowing entities, collateral, and loan products)

accurately into MEDICI, or other loan documentation software selected with Senior Management, to result in error-free work product.

Analyze details of the loan structure and request any additional pre-closing documentation

(i.e. Flood Determination, organizational documentation, applicable title work) .

Provide a high level of customer service when responding to external customers as well as internal customers to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data. Act as a liaison to lenders to assist them with technical questions.

Develop a working knowledge of commercial loan documentation including various promissory notes, collateral documents such as real estate mortgages/deeds of trust, security agreements, pledge agreements, and other necessary documents.

Perform a comprehensive review and provide final approval of all commercial loan documentation, including outside counsel prepared documents, prior to loan closing.

Review all lien searches

(real estate, UCC)

to ensure that Bank has/will be in the appropriate lien position as detailed in the loan approval.

Ensure that any special conditions, terms or requirements imposed by loan approval are contained in the loan documents.

Verify that total loan exposure is within lender's authority or that the appropriate level of higher authority has been obtained.

Work with lenders and counsel to edit documentation language in order to meet the requirements of the loan approval.

Train department employees as needed to ensure proper job knowledge and the ability to perform their respective job responsibilities.

Establish, foster and maintain good working relationships with peers, department staff and Senior Management.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Technical College or bachelor's degree preferred

Law Firm experience or Paralegal certification or three (3) to five (5) years minimum experience including customer service, commercial loan documentation preparation, review, collateral documentation, and lien perfection.

At least two (2) years working with real estate secured loans, previous loan operations experience a plus

Working knowledge of legal and regulatory matters, perfection/recording requirements and Bank policies necessary for preparing commercial loan documents

Strong analytical skills for reviewing and analyzing loan documentation

Knowledge of Windows based products and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience using PC based loan documentation systems and Bank mainframe system

(ITI)

Excellent time management and communication skills

Self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented and able to multi-task
