In addition to meeting manufacturing schedules, line respon</span><span>sibilities include development, </span><span>direction and guidance to production supervisors, production engineers and plant operators. To lead and promote safety, environmental awareness, quality, cost savings, and compliance with all regulatory programs. Provide inter and intra departmental technical </span><span>assistance</span> <span>facilitating</span><span> company growth.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span><span>The Assistant Superintendent </span><span>Operations </span><span>will work closely with all departments to ensure </span><span>timely</span><span> shipment of quality products, </span><span>meeting</span><span> or exceeding customer expectations</span></span></p><br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><p> </p><ul><li><span><span>Ensuring assigned production areas meet or exceed all safety and quality requirements</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Scheduling operations and maintenance activities in a manner that prevents delays and efficiently </span><span>utilizes</span> <span>manpower</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in all operations and activities</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Work closely with the product</span><span>ion</span><span> supervisors to ensure employees are </span><span>properly trained</span><span> and evaluate their performance</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Exercising proper care in the </span><span>utilization</span><span> of buildings, </span><span>equipment</span><span> and services</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Identify</span><span> and implement process improvements that positively </span><span>impact</span><span> items such as yield, throughput, waste, labor, raw materials, product quality and cycle time</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Investigate operational issues and work with support groups to resolve and implement corrective and preventative actions</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Work with Process Engineering and Chemical Development during the implementation of new products in the manufacturing area</span></span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span><span>Participate in process or capital project evaluations as assigned</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Coach production supervisors and their subordinates on company policies and procedures. Conduct training </span><span>pertaining to</span><span> the employee’s and company needs. Provide guidance to increase the </span><span>employees</span><span> understanding and knowledge of the plant operation. </span><span>Identify</span><span> and promote activities which enhance the work environment</span></span></li></ul><br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><ul><li><span><span>BS in Chemistry</span><span>,</span><span> Chemical Engineering</span><span> or related </span><span>field</span> <span>required</span><span>.
