Reporting to the Brand Manager, the Assistant Brand Manager will be an integral part of developing and implementing Clio’s marketing programs that drive trial and awareness of Clio’s ever-growing portfolio of products. This role will be vital in continuing to drive Clio’s rapid retail growth and ensuring all three of Clio’s product lines can reach their full potential across a wide array of national retailers. A data-driven and analytical mindset, coupled with a passion for understanding consumer behavior will be critical in this role.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Marketing Support

  • Support Brand Manager in compiling & executing annual brand plan and lead cross functional & external partners to drive portions of a project/plan. Partner management will include- shopper marketing partners (inMar, iBotta, Aisle, Retailer.com agency, etc.) as well as creative, packaging design, research, etc.
  • Assist with innovation and packaging initiatives, including UPC creation, packaging organization, creative development, design feedback management, proofing, etc.
  • Support the execution of Clio tradeshows (Expo West, NACS, etc.) from start to finish, including but not limited to partnering with sales on understanding key shows to attend, collaborating with designers on the development/optimization of booth designs and sales collateral, and coordinating product shipments.
  • Collaborate with outside agency team to lead the development and execution of effective and compelling experiential sampling and demos initiatives to drive awareness and product education.
  • Design and maintain on-brand catalog of sell sheets/ one pagers for sales sell-in. This includes existing product lines and new item innovation launches.

Shopper Marketing Management:

  • Create and execute annual shopper marketing strategies across all of Clio’s retailers and product lines that ladder up to the overarching marketing objectives and sales goals of the organization.
  • Coordinate all retailer programming including digital coupons (iBotta, Instacart, retailer specific, Aisle), demos, etc.
  • Produce quarterly shopper marketing report recapping each program’s performance, using data to understand and implement best performing tactics and share out results and actionable next steps with key marketing and sales stakeholders.

Research / Analytics:

  • Manage in partnership with the Senior Director of Business Intelligence consumer and POS data (SPINS, Nielsen, etc.) helping coordinate pulls and analysis as needed.
  • Assist in market/consumer research to deeply understand the demographics, psychographics and buying behaviors of Clio’s different audiences by product line, to effectively develop strategies that target the right consumers, at the right time, in the right place and with the right incentive.
  • Research any new and emerging shopper marketing companies/programs to employ the best and most relevant tactics.
