External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. <br> <br> <b>Your role: </b> <br> <br>The Area Business Manager (ABM) role at EMD Serono, focuses on the neurology therapeutic area, particularly multiple sclerosis. <br> <br>You are accountable for the strategic business management and sales results of an individual territory, serving as the liaison between customers and EMD Serono. Working in collaboration with the overlapping Thought Leader Liaison, the role focuses on building customer alliances and establishing and maintaining product market leadership by identifying customer needs and providing customer-centered solutions. You have solid business acumen, possess strong consultative selling skills, keen analytical skills, and an established network of business relationships with neurologists treating patients with multiple sclerosis. We are seeking strong and determined sales leaders willing to make a daily impact on patient outcomes! Below is a summary of the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:<br> <br> <b>Key Responsibilities</b> <br> <ul> <li> <b>Strategic Business Management</b>: Lead the management and sales initiatives within the assigned territory, ensuring alignment with company goals and therapeutic area strategies.</li> <li> <b>Customer Relationship Management</b>: Build and maintain strong relationships with neurologists and other stakeholders in the medical community, focusing on customer-centered solutions.</li> <li> <b>Sales Performance</b>: Achieve sales targets according to company and therapeutic area guidelines while adhering to PhRMA guidelines.</li> <li> <b>Professional Development</b>: Continuously improve personal skills and competencies in line with the company's competency model.</li> <li> <b>Collaboration and Communication</b>: Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet customer needs effectively.</li> <li> <b>Market Expertise</b>: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product, market, reimbursement, and managed care environments.</li> <li> <b>Educational Programs</b>: Plan and execute professional and patient education initiatives.</li> <li> <b>Travel Requirements</b>: within the territory, primarily around southern Los Angeles, CA and Orange County, CA.</li></ul> <b>Who you are:</b> <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in any field.</li> <li>5+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven sales success.</li></ul> <b>Preferred Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>Strong accountability and self-motivation.</li> <li>Experience in multiple sclerosis, neurology, CNS, or specialty biologics markets.</li> <li>Scientific or clinical background.</li> <li>Proficiency in digital tools and virtual selling environments.</li> <li>Knowledge of managed care systems and reimbursement strategies.</li> <li>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>High energy, flexibility, and customer-oriented mindset.</li> <li>Passion for improving patient outcomes.</li></ul>This role is field-based and involves travel within southern Los Angeles, CA and Orange County, CA<br> <br>Base Pay Range for this position $49,500 to $192k<br> <br>Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role and are derived from relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.
