Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As an STNA contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose your assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.
Take and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as directed by the healthcare team.
Assist with the serving and feeding of patients, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and comforting atmosphere.
Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe patient care environment, including changing bed linens, tidying up patient rooms, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
Report any changes in patients' condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Document care provided and observations made in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Completion of a state-approved State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training program.
Current and valid STNA certification in the state(s) of practice.
Previous experience as an STNA in a healthcare setting preferred.
Additional certifications may be required based on assignment requirements.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to assist and support others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
