Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Transportation Systems Engineer to join our team in researching and developing Smart City Applications including Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) technologies, roadside sensing, and Artificial Intelligence to shape the future of transportation. The successful candidate will engage in various projects aiming to develop and optimize the use of advanced technologies to improve urban mobility and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with development teams to understand and resolve technical goals and challenges.
- Develop solutions to improve safety and mobility of transportation systems.
- Create guidance, training, and outreach materials for technical audiences.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to explain transportation system performance.
- Provide technical assistance to support adoption of transportation technologies.
- Contribute to the development and review of technical proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with 2+ years of related experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of related experience.
- Extensive experience working on transportation system applications and cutting-edge transportation technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (C++, Java, Python, VBA, or Matlab).
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate solutions and design decisions.
Preferred Experience:
- PhD degree in related field.
- Experience with leading or assisting in the development of technical proposals.
- Proficiency in agile methodology and development environments.
Anticipated Salary Range for this role: $80,000 - $100,000
