Core Responsibilities of the Executive Chef:
- Management: This is a top-of-account position, responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, time keeping, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for kitchen staff.
- Culinary Supervision: Oversee and coordinate culinary activities across all operations.
- Inventory Control: Make food purchases and manage inventory in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Quality Standards: Standardize production of menus and recipes to ensure consistent quality; communicate changes with the Creative Dining Services Home Office as necessary.
- Mentorship: Spend 35% of your time cooking and mentoring staff daily.
- Client Management: Establish and maintain food quality standards; exceed client expectations.
- Culinary Arts Degree with at least five years of cooking experience required. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of cooking experience.
- At least five years of management experience
- ServSafe certification
- Director/top-of-account experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Programs
- Experience performing administrative duties
- Proven track record in culinary excellence
