Farm and Home Hardware is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our existing top-notch install and appliance team. Established in 1960, we have over 60 years of experience helping our friends and neighbors complete their projects. Home Appliances and the service of those products is one of the largest departments in our business and has great growth opportunities in the future. Our team consists of Salespeople,
Warehouse staff, Delivery, Install & Service Technicians and Service Writers. The only way we can succeed is for all these groups to work together as one TEAM.

Administrative responsibilities include working with our buyers and entering item information in the Epicor Eagle software system, scheduling deliveries, keeping detailed records and assisting the sales staff in any additional tasks. The ideal candidate will have essential data entry skills, like fast typing and 10-key with a keen eye for detail and familiarity in a high-speed environment.
A well-rounded knowledge of MS Office products primarily Excel is beneficial. Previous experience as an administrative assistant or similar position will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with purchasing team to add new items
Create purchase orders and update vendor price changes
Maintain up to date and accurate information for our item file
Scan documents and print files as needed
Schedule deliveries and route delivery drivers to their destinations

Requirements

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office clerk
Epicor Eagle experience a plus, but will train the right candidate
Proficiency navigating Microsoft Windows 10
Working knowledge of MS Excel

Basic math and recording abilities
Typing speed and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
Experience using office equipment, like printers and scanners
Great communication and interpersonal abilities
Confidentiality
Keen eye for detail
High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset.

Job requirements and benefits:

  • This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with overtime if needed to complete jobs.
  • Your schedule will not change much once established as we would like to make sure you are able to develop a good work/life balance.
  • Off most National Holidays
  • Schedule is normally Monday-Friday 8-5 with some evenings and Saturdays depending on workload. We will do our best to get you out by 4:00 most days, but the customer comes first, and we will expect you to stay later if needed.
  • Starting pay will range from $13 to $18 per hour depending on ability and experience levels.
