Description:

Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE) has a full time opening for an Accounting Technician 3 working at the Administrative Office in Salem, Oregon. As an Accounting Technician 3, you will process accounts payable transactions, process month end journal entries associated with payable, supply coverage for accounts receivable, and have experience with invoicing. A successful candidate will serve various internal and external stakeholders by providing outstanding customer service. Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Experience in Collections
Experience in preparing monthly bank reconciliations
Fixed Assets
Critical attention to detail
Experience with billing and invoicing
General knowledge of computerized accounting systems and how they aid in compiling, maintaining, and using accounting information.
Extensive knowledge of techniques used to locate errors in accounting records.
Skill in analyzing and interpreting agency fiscal information from reports.

Working Conditions:
May be required to work some late and unusual hours
Requires willingness to travel in or out of state, including some overnight trips
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
Long periods of sitting at a desk and/or looking at a computer screen

Minimum Qualifications:
Four (4) years of Accounts Payable experience

OR
Two (2) years of Accounts Payable experience AND an Associate’s degree in Accounting
Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check screening.
Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment.
