*ABOUT THE JOB:*
As an Accountant at MISUMI, you will be responsible for day-to-day general accounting functions which may include supporting and coordinating the work of a number of accounting associates in all aspect of Accounting (AP, Month/Year End Closing, Financial audit and Tax/J-Sox compliance). Your activities will include:
* Reviewing & processing vendor invoices, expense reports, AMEX statements to assure accuracy and compliance with AP policy before posting into SAP.
* Making & recording payments to vendors by checks or wire transfer in timely manner.
* Working closely with vendors regarding open payables
* Working with various departments on a monthly basis to ensure accurate posting of inventory and receivables.
* Responding to inquiries from Accounting Manager regarding expenses & ad hoc requests.
* Processing and recording bi-weekly payroll.
* Performing monthly closing. Making month-end standard journal entries, including amortization of assets, inventory adjustments, & calculation of accrual amounts.
* Maintaining fixed asset and other balance sheets related schedules.
* Preparing, reviewing and analyzing various monthly financial reports.
* Reconciling and analyzing GL balances, including cash and accounts payable.
* Coordinating with the external auditors and preparing supporting schedules and records to respond to the request and questions.
* Supporting our headquarters and subsidies during month end close.
* Supporting our tax team for tax compliance daily.
* Supporting our internal auditing function for J-Sox compliance.
* Actively participating in improvement activities
* Performing other duties and projects as assigned by Accounting Supervisor & Senior Manager

*WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:*
* BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or comparable experience.
* 1+ years of accounting experience handling monthly and year-end closings.
* Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and automated accounting systems.
* ERP accounting module experience a plus, (SAP is ideal).
* Exceptional analytical, computer, and organizational skills are required.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Works well in a team environment.
* Able to work with a diverse group of people.
* Excellent communication skills.
